What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is also known as a cosmetic tattoo. A
Machine inserts non-iron oxide pigment into the dermal layer of skin, resulting in the desired cosmetic effect that can last years.
Is it painful?
A topical anesthetic is applied to manage any discomfort, most clients say they feel a slight prickle, some just feel the vibration, while others have fallen asleep through the procedure.
Is it safe?
_Strict hygiene and sterilization guidelines are set by OSHA and the CDC, your technician is responsible for following these. At Taylor Permanent Cosmetics, Brooke goes above and beyond to insure your safety, using all disposable tools & materials, nothing that touches you has touched anyone else.
Will I have downtime after a procedure?
There will be slight swelling and tenderness, this will subside quickly. People return to normal activities immediately. Aftercare instructions will be discussed before any procedure and reviewed afterward.
Can I put makeup on following the procedure?
As part of your aftercare, you should not put any cosmetics on the procedure area of 7-14 days. This will be discussed further in a consultation.
Is it MRI safe?
By all means, get scanned! The pigments used by Taylor Permanent Cosmetics are non-iron oxide pigments which means there are no metal particles floating around to be picked up by the MRI.
How long will it last?
_Everyone is different. In general, most will need a touch up between 2-6 years. The color will fade gently over time. These factors can be effected by skin tone, sun exposure, exfoliation process, body chemistry and each persons degree of skin care.
How long does it take?
This varies, a full lip procedure can take almost two hours while an eyelash enhancement could take just 45 minutes.
